Jenna Fischer's best-known role was as Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. To honor the significance of her performance, she received the Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won the award for two SAG Awards.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne took part in plays at church. She was awed by performance and theatre was cultivated when she was a young girl.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at The Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling in the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She is the author of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that describes her journey through St. Louis to Hollywood and her journey to becoming a successful actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends Who Were There (co-authored together with Angela Kinsey) This book provides an account of their most memorable friendship as well as their work in The Office.
